Eyebrow Microblading isn't like the eyebrow tattoo of yester-year!
These days, this state-of-the art, semi permanent cosmetic treatment is incredibly realistic, flattering and downright face-changing.
What Is microblading?
Microblading is a simple, semi permanent procedure for eyebrows that’s similar to the tattooing process, but without going as deep into your skin. Your semi-permanent makeup artist will use a hand held tool to implant a colour pigment, chosen specifically for you, into the first layer of your skin to create fine, natural-looking strokes that resemble real eyebrow hairs. Leaving you with realistic, fuller-looking brows for longer.
You’ll be given a touch up around 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment (an eyebrow microblading touch ups at RedFox Beauty Clinic in Belper is included in the price) and after that, results can vary, depending on things like your skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle, but it usually lasts up to 18 months. In terms of pain threshold - it’s been compared to threading or waxing; but the difference with eyebrow microblading is that you get given a numbing cream! Plus of course, you’ll be so delighted with your foxy new brows, you’ll forget all about a bit of discomfort…
Just a few things to bear in mind before your eyebrow microblading appointment • Don’t drink any coffee, alcohol or energising drinks on the day of your treatment • Don’t take any Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen for 24 hours beforehand • Don’t take any omega3 (fish oil) for 1 week before your treatment • Don’t tan or have intense sun exposure for 3 days before your treatment • Don’t have any waxing within 3 days of your treatment • Don’t have any chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser or any other intense treatments for 2 weeks before your treatment • It’s worth showering and doing your hair before you come, as you’ll need to be careful not to get your brows wet for several days!
