PRP FACIAL

What is a PRP Facial?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a unique skin-enhancing treatment that uses your body’s own rich nutrients to nourish the skin. Platelets from your own blood (a natural source of growth factors) are harvested and then delivered back into the skin through microneedling. Your PRP allows for a greater release of growth factors and biologically active proteins, which activate wound-healing processes in the skin, including collagen production.RedFox offers several PRP therapy options that suit any lifestyle, and proper preparation is key to the success of any PRP therapy option.

What are the benefits?

PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines. Because it boosts collagen, it's also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone. It's particularly good for people who suffer from rosacea or acne

Vampire Facial

The vampire facial begins with a simple blood draw in the studio. This sample is placed in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from other blood components. After this ten-minute process, your facial skin is prepared with a special microneedling handpiece that uses a dozen tiny needles moving up and down at a rate of 8,000 times per minute to create micro-perforations in the skin. These perforations are coated and soaked with growth factors that activate the skin’s multipotent stem cells by tricking them into reacting as though new, healthy tissue is needed to heal an injury.

Hair Restoration
PRP can be used to restore hair growth by injecting the growth factors directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. This treatment can lead to dramatic results for some patients who have experienced hair thinning or loss.

Ensuring Your Best Possible PRP Therapy Experience
Preparing for PRP therapy is simple and easy. At your initial appointment, we'll discuss your medical record to make specific recommendations personalised to your unique situation and goals. In general, these steps in the weeks leading up to your appointment can help ensure your best possible results:

One to two weeks before your appointment, discontinue any blood thinning herbs, supplements or vitamins to ensure your blood is as nutrient rich as possible.
On the day of your appointment, eat a full, healthy breakfast and drink plenty of water. This will help bolster your body’s proper response to the treatment and support the growth of new, healthy skin.
Discontinue use of anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve or Aspirin at least three to four days before your appointment.
Discontinue corticosteroids at least one to two weeks before your appointment.
Steroid injections should be discontinued for at least one month before your appointment.
To promote healthy healing after your appointment, avoid drinking alcohol. Focus on staying hydrated, eating healthy foods and getting quality sleep. PRP therapy outcomes are different for everyone, but by following these rules, your body will be equipped with the nutrients it needs to create the new, healthy tissues and the skin you desire.
