I offer Sclerotherapy treatments from my salon in Belper, to treat unwanted thread, spider, and small varicose veins. It’s a safe and effective treatment with minimal downtime, carried out in a straightforward and professional setting.
How it Works
A small amount of solution is injected directly into the vein using a very fine needle. This irritates the vein wall, causing it to close and eventually fade as the body reabsorbs it. Blood is naturally rerouted through nearby healthier veins.
What to Expect
Sessions usually last 30–45 minutes
A mild stinging or cramping sensation can be felt during injections (this is temporary)
Treated veins may appear red, raised, or bruised immediately afterwards – this is normal
Downtime & Aftercare
You can return to most daily activities straight away
Compression stockings must be worn for 1–2 weeks after treatment (not included in the treatment price)
Avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, saunas, or swimming for 7–10 days
Veins may darken or bruise before they begin to fade – this can last several weeks
Results are gradual, with full effects usually visible after 6–12 weeks
Multiple sessions may be needed for best results
Price per session
£255 – Small / Medium area
£295 – Medium / Large area
Pre-paid packages of 3 sessions available at a discounted rate
The number of sessions required depends on the size and number of veins being treated
Compression stockings are not included in the price

FAQs
Does it hurt?
Most people describe the injections as mildly uncomfortable, with a short stinging or cramping sensation. This usually settles within minutes.
When will I see results?
You’ll usually see improvement within a few weeks, with full results showing after 6–12 weeks. Multiple sessions may be needed.
How long do results last?
Treated veins should not return, but new veins can develop over time. Maintenance treatments may be required in the future.
Can I drive afterwards?
Yes – there’s no need for sedation, so you can drive yourself home after treatment.
Will I need time off work?
No – most people go straight back to work the same day, provided your job doesn’t involve heavy lifting or strenuous activity.
Are there risks?
Possible side effects include bruising, swelling, or temporary skin discolouration. Serious complications are rare but will be discussed at your consultation - get in touch to book today!
