Possible Complications & Aftercare

At RedFox Beauty, your safety is my top priority. Dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments are generally very safe when performed by a qualified practitioner, but it’s important to be aware of possible side effects and rare complications.

Common, Mild Effects

• Redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site (usually resolves within a few days)

• Minor bruising (can last a few days)

• Temporary lumps or bumps that smooth naturally

Less Common / Rare Effects

• Infection at the injection site (rare)

• Allergic reactions (extremely rare with premium products)

• Temporary asymmetry or unevenness (usually corrected during follow-up)

• Necrosis – extremely rare, occurs when blood flow is temporarily affected. Early recognition is critical; if you notice unusual pain, discoloration, or slow-healing skin, contact me immediately.

Precautions

• Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, or omega-3 supplements 24–48 hours before treatment, as these can increase bruising

• If prone to bruising, consider taking arnica before and after your appointment

• Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot baths, and direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours post-treatment

• Follow all aftercare instructions provided to ensure optimal results and healing

Aftercare Tips

• Do not massage or manipulate treated areas unless instructed

• Keep the area clean and gently apply any recommended post-care creams

• Avoid cosmetic procedures (laser, chemical peels) on the treated area until fully healed

• Sun protection is essential for lasting results

• Attend your follow-up/touch-up appointments as advised
